4 Texas Murder Suspects Attempted To Steal Drugs And Money From Victim’s Home
Four people were arrested for an attempt to steal drugs and money leading to the killing of a Texas man last weekend, according to Pharr police.
22-year-old Abraham Guadalupe Gonzalez, 32-year-old Bianca Lizbeth Gutierrez, 36-year-old Flor Alexis Sedano, and 23-year-old Juan Gustavo Castellanos Iracheta were booked into the Hidalgo County Adult Detention Center on Monday on charges of capital murder, aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity.
They are accused of killing 32-year-old Augusto Emmanuel De La Torre Quiroz on Saturday at his home at 520 E. Feather Avenue in Pharr.
The investigation began when Pharr police responded to the residence for a welfare concern. An officer on scene said in a probable cause affidavit that they saw an open garage door. The door that led into the residence was also ajar.
All of the suspects were seen leaving that residence and were detained, according to the affidavit.
Interviews with the suspects revealed that they drove to the residence “with the intention of taking money, drugs, and pick-up/transport two unidentified males who were being held at said location.”
The affidavit stated that Gonzalez and Castellanos held Quiroz at gunpoint and began to bind his legs while Gutierrez and Sedano searched the residence for money and drugs.
The men fired handguns at the man during a struggle and fled, according to the affidavit, which states that Gonzalez returned to the residence and took a 2012 Gold GMC Terrain.
Castellanos, Gutierrez and Sedano remained in jail on a total of $2.5 million in bonds while Gonzalez remains in jail on a total of $3.5 million in bonds.
