DWI & MURDER CRASH: 4 people were hit by a car — which killed a 22-year-old in Alamance County; according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office:

On Friday, around 10:50 p.m., deputies and troopers responded to a crash on the 2400 block of E. Simpson Road, near Yanceyville Road, in Green Level.

On scene, authorities found 4 people in the road that had been hit by a car.

The driver, Tamiyah Anderson, 21, of Graham, was identified. Deputies were told that she drove to a home on E. Simpson Road where a physical altercation took place with other people there.

Witnesses told Anderson to get into her car and she hit 4 people.

Two of them were dragged by the car, leading to the death of Brendy Garcia-Resendiz, 22, of Graham. The other victim, who was dragged, was seriously injured.

The other two had minor injuries.

Anderson then crashed her car into a concrete barrier at a nearby mobile home park. She was transported to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries, released and jailed.

She’s charged with second-degree murder, felony assault, DWI, open container, resist/delay/obstruct, driving left-of-center, and seatbelt violation. No bond.
