Four Dallas firefighters are in stable condition after their truck crashed off Central Expressway and landed on the DART train tracks below.
Engine 11 had been dispatched to a possible structure fire minutes before the crash.
Southbound lanes of Central Expressway remain closed near Woodall Rogers.
Portions of Interstate 345, South Good Latimer Expressway, Routh Street and the DART rail system have been closed to all traffic, officials said.
Power and DART services are out in the Central Business District as a result of the crash, according to a release from DART. Passengers using the Akard and St. Paul stations are encouraged to use West End and Peal stations, according to the release.
DART will establish bus bridges to help customers during the outage and passengers should look for DART personnel for support, officials said.
Officials don’t know what caused the incident or if other vehicles were involved, according to the statement.
