36-year-old Arrested and Charged with 1st Degree Murder
On February 28, 2022, at approximately 1:09 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to a dwelling in the 200 block of Monastery Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the location, they observed 33-year-old Morris Hood Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Through the course of their investigation, homicide detectives were able to identify a suspect.
On March 15, 2022, 36-year-old Harry Cokley was arrested and formally charged with the 1st Degree Murder of Morris Hood Jr.
Cokley is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
