35-Year-Old North Carolina Woman Shot And Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide
The Greenville Police Department in North is investigating an apparent murder-suicide at Belle Meade Apartments.
Police responded at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 and found two people dead inside the apartment.
The bodies were identified as 35-year-old Rani Renee Barnes and 39-year-old Michael Anthony Wilkes Jr. Police said Barnes and Wilkes were in a romantic relationship.
They said based on evidence, the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide pending autopsy results.
