Englewood police are investigating a shooting. That occurred on Thursday morning.
Just after 9 a.m., a 35-year-old man was shot while riding a scooter in the 6900 block of South Justine Street.
According to police, an unknown offender shot the victim in the stomach and leg before fleeing the scene eastbound in an alley.
In critical condition, the victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
There were no other injuries reported. As police investigate, no one is in custody.
