Saturday night, a 34-year-old man was fatally shot during an argument in Belmont Central on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
Miguel Huerta was in the 2400 block of North Meade Avenue around 11:40 p.m. when he got into a verbal altercation with an unknown offender, according to police.
The suspect opened fire on the 34-year-old Chicago man, striking him in the head and left buttocks.
According to the medical examiner’s office, Huerta was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
No one is in custody, and Area Five detectives are looking into it.
