LONDON, ON – As a result of information received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), members of the LPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, began an investigation in relation to suspected possession and distribution of child pornography.
A London man was arrested after members of the LPS ICE Unit, with the assistance of the Digital Forensic Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Langarth Street West, and seized various electronic devices.
As a result of this investigation, *a 32-year-old London man, is charged with the following offences:
• Unlawfully possess child pornography
• Unlawfully access child pornography
• Distribute child pornography
The accused was released from custody and is expected in London court on August 31, 2022, in relation to these charges.
London Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet.
The Strategy has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
