Three Chicago residents were arrested on Saturday in connection with two suburban residential burglaries.
On May 21, around 4:20 p.m., a homeowner in the 8500 block of West Betty Terrace reported that their home had been burglarized, according to Niles police.
The front door had to be forced open.
The house had been ransacked, but the homeowner was unsure if anything had been stolen.
On December 2, around 3:30 p.m., a homeowner in the 8100 block of North Caldwell Avenue reported their home had been burglarized.
Jewelry was stolen after the front door was forced open.
Niles police investigated both incidents and arrested three suspects on Saturday.
A 17-year-old Chicago boy has been charged with residential burglary.
Al Miller, 35, of Chicago, has been charged with residential burglary and contributing to a minor’s criminal delinquency.
A 16-year-old Chicago boy has also been charged with residential burglary.
Miller was taken to bond court on Monday.
