According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 500 block of Mariwood Drive — which is located just off North Raceway Road — around 3:20 p.m. on a report of a person shot.
When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim who appeared to have been grazed by gunfire.
A suspect is dead after three police officers were injured in a shooting in Northeast D.C. Monday morning.
The shooting happened on Florida Avenue near the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro station, according to D.C. police.
A public police report on the incident filed Sunday evening indicates IMPD aggravated assault detectives have been tasked with investigating the shooting. Per the report, detectives recovered a semi-automatic Smith and Wesson pistol during their investigation.
Police also reported that they found an empty Smith and Wesson magazine and a Taurus G2C box at the scene. IMPD’s report on the shooting also indicates a Kia utility vehicle may have been involved in the shooting in some fashion.
The report also shows that a female suspect was allegedly implicated in the shooting. Few additional details on the suspect — including whether or not IMPD has detained her — were made available in the report.
