According to New Orleans Police, officers made the discovery when they were conducting a wellness check in the 1700 block of Gentilly Blvd.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the deaths or when they may have occurred but police said that the homicide unit is investigating.
“Right now we are treating it as a homicide solely because there were some bullets on the ground,” said NOPD Chief Deputy Hans Ganthier.
He says it appears the victims have been dead for several days, and that is making it difficult to identify the gender or age of the victims.
