Three men have been charged with arranging the murder of a witness in a child sex crime case and later killing the hitman.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Price Smith announced new charges at a news conference late Wednesday morning. She was accompanied by assistant prosecutor John Schlesinger and Ferguson Police Chief Troy Doyle.

“These charges originate from a sexual assault case which was issued in May of ’25, when a witness of that case was offered a bribe to drop charges,” Price Smith said.

All three men are currently in custody on $2 million bond each. Both Youngs, ages 52 and 23, are in federal custody in an unrelated investigation.

Lavor J. Harmon, Anthony L. Young, and Anthony D. Young were each charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, one count of knowingly exploding or burning, and one county of tampering with evidence. Harmon, 40, was previously charged with three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and one count of second-degree statutory rape.
