3 injured after a shooting in Old Town, women in custody

A woman has been arrested after three people were shot early this morning at Rock Island Live in Old Town, police say.

The Wichita Police Department said that just before 1 a.m. multiple gunshots were heard coming from Rock Island Live at 101 N. Rock Island Ave. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 22-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her arm among a crowd of people leaving the scene.

Inside the building officers found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso. First responders took the victims to a local hospital were both are in stable condition.

Another 22-year-old female victim came to the hospital later with a gunshot wound to her foot.

Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Tyra Adair for the shooting.

Officers say that after Adair had a physical altercation with staff members at Rock Island Live, she fired a gun at random.

Police believe the three victims were not intended targets and were not involved in the altercation between Adair and the staff.
