3 arrested for aggravated battery and mob action at McDonald’s

The University of Illinois Police Department responded to a fight that started at McDonald’s, 616 E. Green St., Champaign.

Witnesses say they saw Drew J. Knight, 30, of Champaign Andrew L. Moore, 50, and Zachary W. Overman, 30 and a juvenile acting as the aggressors in an unprovoked fight that started at McDonald’s.

Police say Overman additionally was arrested for theft because he stole a victim’s backpack after the victim had been punched.

The backpack was recovered when Overman was arrested.

The juvenile was taken home by police.
