The iPhone Fold is tipped to have a 4:3 aspect ratio when open, making the screen wider than most current foldables. This could help prevent the “black bar” problem when watching videos. The Z Fold 7’s inner display has a 10:9 aspect ratio, so it’s more square. However, Samsung is reportedly working on a wide version of the Galaxy Z Fold as well.

The mockup comes to us from a user named Subsy, who uploaded what they claim is a 1:1 iPhone Fold replica on the site MakerWorld. The design is claimed to be “based on recently leaked CAD drawings of the ‌iPhone‌ Fold,” but doesn’t showcase the phone’s internal engineering. Instead, it offers a physical reference of the new device that you can actually hold.

Rumor has it Apple’s bringing coming out with a foldable iPhone this year, but that price ain’t nothing to sneeze at. Starting around $2000, this phone could hit $2500. A 3D printed mockup gives us a sneak peek, but are you down for a first-gen foldable at that cost?

The most important specs for any foldable are the display sizes, which most rumors indicate will take the form of a 7.8-inch main display and a 5.5-inch outer screen on the iPhone FoldThese are roughly the same dimensions used in the model. While it might fall behind the 8-inch main display seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Apple has a trick up its sleeve that could make the difference.

Several rumors have surfaced indicating that Apple is working on creating the first creaseless foldable display. If accurate, then the iPhone Fold could have a very good shot of making our best foldable phones list.
