22-year-old man faces murder and arson charges in death of 65-year-old man

Benton Township Police say they have made an arrest in a deadly arson that happened in March.

On Friday, police arrested 22-year-old Raymond Bogucki from Benton Harbor.

He faces murder and arson charges.

On March 11th, Firefighters entered a home in the 1200 block of Coolidge Ave. and found an unconscious 65-year-old man inside the home. He was then pulled out of the house but was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a report, police said, “The circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious and this incident is being investigated as a homicide.”

The fire killed 65-year-old Wendell Hill.

Police are not releasing any other information about the investigation.

Bogucki is being held in the Berrien County Jail.
