A woman was shot inside a vehicle on the city’s North Side early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Lakeview neighborhood’s 1000-block of West Belmont Avenue just after 2 a.m.
A passenger in a vehicle heard shots and felt pain before realizing she had suffered a graze wound to her forehead, police said.
The Chicago Fire Department treated the victim, a 25-year-old woman, who was then transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.
A witness told officers the gunshots may have been fired from a dark-colored vehicle.
There is no one in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
A man was fatally shot inside a vehicle on the city’s West Side late Friday night, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the West Garfield Park neighborhood’s 4700-block of West Lake Street just before 11:15 p.m.
Someone fired shots from a blue sedan, striking a 27-year-old man, who was a passenger in another vehicle, police said.
Police said the victim, shot in his chest, was transported in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No one is in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.

Two people were shot during a street celebration on the city’s North Side early Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Edgewater neighborhood’s 5200-block of North Winthrop Avenue just before 12:30 a.m.
A 44-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were standing on the street, celebrating, when someone fired shots, police said.
The man, who suffered three gunshot wounds to his leg, and the woman, shot in her lower back, were transported to Swedish Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody and Area Five detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
Two men were shot in downtown Chicago early Saturday morning, police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Loop in the 0-100-block of East Wacker Drive just after 1:30 a.m.
Two men, 24 and 67 years old, were standing on the sidewalk at different locations when someone fired shots, police said.
The 24-year-old, shot in his buttocks, and the 67-year-old, shot in his thigh, were transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
