RawNews1st – A 2-year-old boy is hospitalized after being hit by a car in Oakland Park.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office; Deputies responded to NW 43rd Street and 5th Avenue after getting calls that a child had been ran over by a hit and run driver.
The toddler was transported by Oakland Park Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale for treatment.
BSO was not able to provide a description of the vehicle.
Jason Paul, who lives in the area, said the hit-and-run driver should have stopped. He suspects the driver was speeding.
“They have to get the police in this area watching the people speeding,” Paul said.
Deputies were asking anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
