A 2-year-old boy and two other people were hurt in a crash near Washington Park in the Bronzeville neighborhood late Sunday night.
A sedan was traveling eastbound on 51st Street around 11 p.m. when it failed to yield to another vehicle in the intersection and was struck, according to police.
A 2-year-old girl was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital. The 20-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were both taken to nearby hospitals and were listed in fair condition.
The sedan’s two occupants, a 56-year-old driver and a 25-year-old passenger, were not injured in the crash and refused treatment at the scene.
As Area One detectives conduct their investigation, citations are pending.
