2 students shot outside a high school in Detroit, Michigan; 3 suspects on the run.
DETROIT – Detroit Police are searching for a trio of suspects after two young people were shot outside of a school on the city’s northwest side.
Police responded to the scene, late Monday afternoon, at Henry Ford High School at 20000 Evergreen Rd., just south of 8 Mile Rd.
Witnesses told WWJ Newsradio 950 they heard gunfire, and saw a young man bloodied and lying on the ground.
Tiffany Butler, who lives nearby, was talking with her daughter when the shooting happened.
“We heard the gunshots, I told her drop low, we dropped low,” Butler told WWJ’s Ryan Marshall.
“Talking to some of the students, they said that he (the young man who was shot) spoke on someone’s dead relative…and I guess this was retaliation from that.”
