RawNews1st – In a drive-by shooting in the Austin neighborhood Friday night, two people were shot in the head while driving, and a woman was caught in the crossfire.
Around 11:17 p.m., two people were driving southbound near the 200 block of South Cicero Avenue when a beige SUV approached them and began firing shots at them.
According to police, a man in his twenties was shot in the left side of the head, thigh, and armpit. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and died a short time later.
A woman, 29, was also shot in the head, back, and left arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
A third man caught in the crossfire was discovered nearby after his car collided with a parked car.
He was shot in the back and was airlifted to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. A short time later, he was pronounced dead.
There is currently no one in custody, and the incident is still being investigated by police.
