FoxChicago – Two people were arrested Tuesday, accused of the murder of a Woodland Hills doctor who was shot while walking to his car outside an urgent care center.
Evan Hardman, 41, of Tomball, Texas, and Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, of Reseda were booked on suspicion of the Aug. 23 murder of Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, the Los Angeles Police Department announced.
On that day, police said Mirshojae was walking to his SUV outside the Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and Urgent Care on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, when officers said he was ambushed and shot.
Mirshojae was 61.
Hardman was arrested Tuesday in the Houston area, while Sweeting was arrested in the San Fernando Valley, the LAPD said.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, months before he was shot dead, three men beat Mirshojae with baseball bats outside the clinic.
