Police have charged a 19-year-old man in the quadruple shooting in Westwood on Saturday.
Darius Harris has been charged with four counts of felonious assault. Police are not currently releasing any other information on the case but say the investigation is ongoing.
On Saturday, four people were injured in a shooting near Reem Markets on McHenry Avenue around 6:22 p.m., officials said. The victims included a 6-year-old, 8-year-
Harris was also injured in the shooting, according to police. They have not said who shot him.
The 6-year-old is now out of the hospital, according to police. The 8-year-old remains hospitalized in a medically induced coma.
The 18-year-old male has been released from the hospital.
Police are not naming any of the victims.
Police say the tennis shoe of a third child was also struck by a bullet, but that child was physically unharmed.

Saturday’s mass shooting was the third in Cincinnati this year. The FBI defines a mass shooting as an incident with at least four victims killed or wounded.
Last year, there were three shootings near the intersection of McHenry and Cavanaugh avenues, according to shooting data gathered by The Enquirer. During each of those incidents, the victim was an adult male and their injuries were non-fatal.
So far this year, 18 people have been shot in Westwood.
