RawNews1st – Statesboro Police Department (SPD) officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Success Court for a shooting at 3:15 pm.
The victim, 39-year-old Antawan Strickland was located in the driveway of a residence with multiple gunshot wounds and transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center where he died from his wounds.
Detectives have issued arrest warrants for the suspect.
19-year-old Anthony Jermail Johnson has active warrants for Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is 5’06″, 125 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Johnson’s family is aware of his warrants and has been asked to facilitate his surrender.
