17-Year-Old Fires into Tent, Hitting Two People

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at approximately 10:53 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West Katy Jogging Trail in reference to a shooting with two victims.

Officers arrived and located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital by EMSA with non-life-threatening injuries.

Evidence recovered at the scene included numerous spent .22 caliber shell casings and a realistic replica firearm (airsoft P90-style rifle).

A third individual reported that their purse, which contained a driver’s license, was taken during the incident.

Witnesses told us two suspects, a black male and a black female, approached a tent at a nearby homeless encampment, fired multiple rounds into the tent, then fled the area on bicycles toward the Tulsa Day Center.

A short time later, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office deputies located and detained a 17-year-old male matching the suspect description. A loaded .22 caliber handgun and spent shell casings were recovered from his person. A witness positively identified him as one of the individuals involved.

The male suspect was arrested and taken to the Community Intervention Center on complaints of:

  • Shooting with Intent to Kill (2 counts)
  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm AFCF

Detectives are still working to identify and locate the female suspect.
