A teenager was mauled to death by a shark in Australia‘s Perth. The incident took place on Saturday when the 16-year-old girl swam near the Fremantle Traffic Bridge over the Swan River. This was the deadly shark attack in more than a century, according to a report.

The girl had suffered fatal injuries from the bull shark. According to authorities, the girl and her friends were on jet skis. The girl likely to jump in the water to get close to a pod of dolphins, as per a Mirror report.

Police authorities for the Fremantle district said the girl was pulled out of the water.
