15-year-old was killed in targeted shooting across from DC middle school at 3:30pm. School was put on lockdown and medivac landed on school‘s field to transport the teen. Elementary school students were getting off a bus when the shots were fired and witnessed the shooting.
According to MPD, responding officers found the 15-year-old – who has been identified as Andre Robertson Jr. – at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say Robertson Jr. was airlifted to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victim was airlifted from Kelly Miller Middle School.
As a result of the incident, Kelly Miller Middle School was placed on lockdown. That lockdown has since been lifted.
