15-year-old and 16-year-old die after being stabbed in attack “by a number of people” in Bristol, England.
Two people have reportedly been arrested – a 44-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy. They remain in police custody.
Officers launched a murder investigation in the wake of the deaths, and Bristol Commander Superintendent Mark Runacres said detectives want to speak to passengers on a bus.
The vehicle was on Ilminster Avenue at the time of the “shocking and tragic incident”.
“Our collective thoughts are with their families at what is undoubtedly a very difficult time,” Cdr Runacres said in a statement.
“Specialist family liaison officers will now be assigned to the families to provide them with support and keep them updated on the investigation.”
The police commander also said a cordon remains in place on Ilminster Avenue between Newquay Road and Tavistock Road, and noted “members of the public can expect to see a large police presence as forensic searches and other inquiries are conducted”.
