In less than a week this is the second 13 year old that was shot and killed.
This incident happened this morning at Savanna Landing Apartments located at 61st and Peoria.
On 12/27/2021 at 4:15 am we received a shooting call at the complex, the victim was found laying on the ground and residents at the apartments tell us they heard multiple shots.
The 13 year old was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead at 4:48 am.
Our Homicide unit is still working the scene and we’re looking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting.
