Lydia Flowers — who is being charged as an adult — faces first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder charges. She received a $1.2 million bond.
Her mother Lou Ann Jones was found dead on Tuesday, Dec. 5 inside her home on A.W. Williams Drive.
The teenager disappeared following her mother’s death but was eventually located.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office has released no more details about Jones’ death.
Flowers is the second arrest made in the case.
Nathaniel Davis, 23, of West Point, faces first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and accessory after the fact to attempted murder charges.
He also received a $1.2 million bond.
