The Kern Secret Witness Program is offering a reward of up to $10,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and filing of a complaint against the suspect(s) involved in the following investigation:
On August 14th, 2021, at about 6:00 PM, officers were dispatched to 701 Planz Road regarding a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, Tyis Rush (21) of Bakersfield was pronounced deceased at the scene. The circumstances and motive behind the shooting remain under investigation.
We are asking for assistance in identifying the suspects and the involved vehicle.
