10-Year-Old Elementary School Student Perp-Walked in Volusia County for Making Threats

Micah Swinnie, 10, wrote in permanent marker on his classroom whiteboard that he would bring a gun to school.

He then left a kill list naming three students.

Swinnie is in custody on a felony charge of making a written threat to kill.

He told deputies he didn’t mean it.

The parents of the students named were notified.

Swinnie’s parents told officers he does not have access to guns.

“That doesn’t change the consequences of his actions.”
