District attorney’s office weighs charges against couple after 10-month-old suffers burns in bathtub incident
According to police, the baby was left in a bathtub with hot water and was treated for burns.
Police arrested a 33-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man. On Friday, 12 News spoke with a neighbor who witnessed the couple escorted out of their home in handcuffs.
“I started seeing the adults that were living in the home. They came out in handcuffs. There was children. They were put in separate cars. And I guess they started doing their investigations from there,” the woman who asked not to be identified said.
Police have referred charges of child abuse to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors told 12 News they are deciding on whether to move forward with charges.
