RawNews1st – One person was killed and three others were injured in two separate shootings in the city’s Rogers Park neighborhood just hours apart.
The shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 6600 block of N. Clark Street, when three men were standing on the sidewalk and someone opened fire.
A 29-year-old man arrived at St. Francis Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead.
A 48-year-old man arrived at St. Francis Hospital in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the face.
A 43-year-old man arrived at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Police say all three victims are known to them. As police continue to investigate, no one is in custody in this shooting.
Separately, around 10:08 p.m., a 48-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk on the 1600 block of West Howard when another man approached him on foot and fired shots.
According to police, the victim was shot in the left foot and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition. There are no arrests in this shooting, and police are investigating.
