1 person found shot on arrival Eastridge Apartments, police investigate

Bristol, VA – Around 440 AM this morning officers responded to Eastridge Apartments at 837 Portsmouth Ave.
Upon arrival one subject was found that had been shot, a person of interest was seen leaving the scene and detained by police.
Local hospital was reportedly placed on lockdown. It is unknown if the suspect in the shooting is in custody.
