Two people were shot in Hawthorne on Sunday, one of them fatally, authorities said.
The shooting was reported around 11:27 a.m. in the 2000 block of 120th Street, just south of the Century (105) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victims, who were both described as men, were taken to a hospital, where one victim was pronounced dead, and the second victim’s condition was not immediately known.
Homicide detectives from the LASD were assisting the Hawthorne Police Department with the investigation.
