1.74 kilograms of fentanyl, 1 kilogram of methamphetamine, and 24 ounces of ecstasy suspect arrested: Kentucky

The Nicholasville Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit along with members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Georgetown PD, Lexington Metro PD, and members of the Lexington DEA completed a 6-month long investigation into Quavon Winslow. Winslow fled from a traffic stop in Lexington where he was eventually apprehended.

Subsequently, approximately 1.74 kilograms of fentanyl, 1 kilogram of methamphetamine, and 24 ounces of ecstasy were located and seized.

This investigation is still currently active and Winslow is facing multiple charges.

  •  48,422 deaths from synthetic opioids, primarily fentanyl.
  • 2023: 72,776 deaths from synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl). There were a total of 105,007 drug overdose deaths in 2023, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) | NIDA.nih.gov. Fentanyl was involved in roughly 70% of those deaths.
  • 2022: 73,654 people died from a fentanyl overdose in the US. A total of 107,941 drug overdose deaths were reported in 2022. 

Police noted that the investigation is ongoing and Winslow faces multiple charges.
