Facebook REBRAND: Zuckerberg to unveil new name to match Metaverse ambitions
Facebook could soon be no more – as an overall company name at least – according to The Verge, who report a rebrand could be announced in the coming days, although even senior execs apparently don’t know the new name.
It is expected the blue Facebook app will be repositioned as merely one of the products under the group’s umbrella, and comes after CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced 10k jobs will be created in Europe to develop the metaverse project.
Coming days after whistleblowers testified against the social media giant’s ethical practices, can anyone think why Zuckerberg wants to shift people’s focus?
