Woman was critically injured in a shooting Saturday morning while driving
A 24-year-old woman was critically injured in a shooting Saturday morning while driving on Chicago’s Far South Side.
The victim was driving in the 9500 block of South Ewing Avenue in the East Side neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. when a black Jeep opened fire on her vehicle, according to police.
The victim, who had gunshot wounds to the lower back and left shoulder, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
The shooter escaped. Area Two detectives are looking into it.
