William Mitchell, 56, arrested for .3 grams of white powder: Fentanyl

RawNews1st – At approximately 10:35 am Officer E. Ellington was in the area of West 8th. and Vance St. when he noticed a vehicle with an insurance violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop to speak with the driver.
Upon making contact with the driver Officer Ellington was made aware the driver had a suspended driver’s license. Officer Ellington conducted a search of the vehicle and located .3 grams of white powder suspected to be fentanyl.
The driver was arrested and Identified as William Mitchell 56, from the Roanoke Rapids area. He was charged with the following, possession of schedule II, and driving while license revoked he was placed under a $500 bond with a court date of January 6, 2023.
