Vehicle stolen with police equipment inside; search underway

A Louisville Metro Police Department vehicle has been stolen and a search is underway to find it.
MetroSafe said Monday that a marked Ford Explorer was taken sometime earlier in the day somewhere in the first division.
They did not have an exact location or time, and did not provide a photo of the vehicle.
LMPD says there is “police equipment” inside, but did not elaborate.
