According to reports, Tom Holland suffered a mild concussion on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day Friday, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. He’ll pause filming for several days while Sony meets Monday to decide next steps. No one else was injured.
According to The Sun, Holland’s injury happened during a stunt gone wrong.
Before filming began in Scotland last month, Holland previously said that he’s “over the moon and so excited” to film on location after filming Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) entirely on soundstages amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Now, we’re really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we’re starting in Glasgow and we’re gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we’re putting together,” Holland detailed. “So it’s gonna feel like making [2017’s] Spider-Man 1 again. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done it, it’s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air, and I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together.”
In October, Sony added Spider-Man: Brand New Day to its summer 2026 schedule with a July 24 release date, later revealing the title in March at CinemaCon.
