Ships backlogged and a lack of drivers to meet holiday demand have taken the fizz out of proceedings. It’s not just the champagne that’s had a cork put in it, but labels and boxes too are having basic transportation issues.

With demand for a glass or three going up during the pandemic, and the lockdowns that followed, some experts think the logistical crisis could last for years.
