Popeyes is selling chicken for 59 cents to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Popeyes is turning 50 on Sunday, and they’re celebrating by offering chicken for under $1.
The fast food chain announced in honor of its first restaurant opening on June 12, 1972, they will offer a deal on two pieces of chicken for 59 cents.
The price is significant: it matches the original price offered when Popeyes first opened 50 years ago.
To get the two-piece chicken deal, customers must make a minimum purchase of $5 through a mobile order on the Popeyes app or on the restaurant’s website.
The deal is available from Sunday through June 19.
