According to Chicago police, the incident unfolded in the 1200 block of West Sunnyside, in Uptown.
A man is dead, and a woman is recovering in the hospital after an overnight shooting on the city’s Far North Side.
Offices were first called to the scene around 11:50 p.m. following a report of shots fired in the area.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an 18-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his head, unresponsive on the street.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, while the woman was listed in good condition.
Officers say they recovered four guns on the scene, though it remains unclear what led to the shooting.
A second victim, a 27-year-old who suffered a gunshot wound to her right arm, was also found on the scene.
No arrests have been made in connection with the deadly shooting and an investigation is now underway.
