Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident on Hwy 45
Tupelo police are looking for a driver and vehicle after a hit-and-run incident on Highway 45 left one person dead.
The accident happened near Eason Boulevard Saturday night. Officers responded to a call at around 9pm for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
Once there, officers found a man dead.
The vehicle and driver have not been located as of yet.
Captain Doug Mansell says the vehicle involved is possibly a black Toyota Camry with a Chickasaw County tag.
