One person is dead following an officer involved shooting in Gilford

The AG’s office has confirmed one person is dead following an officer involved shooting in Gilford. Officers responded to 5 Varney Point Rd around 9:50 Sunday night for a 911 call.
There they found a resident armed with a knife. One officer deployed a taser, the other shot the armed resident, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The AG’s office is not releasing the name or age of the resident but says no one else was injured.
