Large scale hazmat cleanup continues on the Stevenson, (I-55), east of LaGrange Road.
Leaked hydrogen peroxide has been mitigated, with careful inspection & removal of additional chem cargo underway.
I-55 is closed TFN between LaGrange Road & First Avenue.
When Summit firefighters first arrived on scene, they noticed the truck was slowly leaking hydrogen peroxide from the front of its container.
Other chemical were reacting to the hydrogen peroxide at the time, according to officials.
