Horse dead after being hit by car on SR 31, police say
A horse died after being hit by a car on SR 31 Sunday night.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded SR 31 and Lucky Road regarding a white Ford Escape that crashed into a horse.
The horse died at the scene due to its injuries. The sheriff’s office states the horse’s owner removed the horse from the road.
