Heavy police presence at Lewis and Clark High School; active shooter hoax

Lewis and Clark High School has been placed on lockdown after reports of an Active Shooter however it was a hoax.
The scanner chatter on Friday morning revealed that police were dispatched to the school in response to an initial allegation of a gunshot, and there is currently a presence of law enforcement at the school.
“Spokane police have determined that this is part of the swatting hoax,” said Spokane Public Schools spokesman Ryan Lancaster.
Students were in lockdown as of 11:30 a.m. as a precautionary measure, he said
The district said an email would be sent out to parents soon.
